Volunteers Donate $45,000 to Brazosport Regional Health System
Brazosport Regional Volunteers donated $45,940 to Brazosport Health Foundation for new treatment and healthcare services. The check was presented to the Foundation at the volunteer annual luncheon at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
The Volunteers hold community fundraisers throughout the year to raise money to donate to the hospital. Proceeds from the Gift Shop at Brazosport Regional are donated to the hospital as well. “This gift is the largest lump sum the volunteers have donated,” said Judith Pepper, Brazosport Health Foundation. “With the large donation, the volunteers have given more than $1 million since 1961. We are grateful to have a dedicated group of people who donate their time to raise money for the community hospital.”
This year, the money is designated for a hematology analyzer for Laboratory Services and a sports art treadmill for Outpatient Rehab. Each year, donations from the volunteers, corporate partners, and generous individuals help the hospital provide excellence in healthcare to the Brazosport Community.
The dedicated team of volunteers is made up of community members who share their talents, abilities, and experiences to make a difference in someone’s life! They are currently looking for additional members to join the group. If you are interested in becoming a member of the volunteer family, please call 979-285-1185 or visit the website at www.BrazosportRegional.org/Volunteers.
