Brazosport Regional Volunteers are pleased to announce a donation of $100,000 to the Cornerstone of Caring Capital Campaign. The Volunteer’s generous gift will be acknowledged with a plaque in the nurse’s station in the new Mike and Leslie Lowrey Emergency Services Pavilion with an inscription reading: “This nurse’s station is generously provided by: The Brazosport Regional Volunteers - 2014, 2015, 2016.”
There are a variety of volunteer responsibilities provided by the 110 membership which include managing the hospital Gift Shop, delivering flowers and newspapers, greeting customers at the information desk, transporting patients to diagnostic services, keeping family members informed of their family member during surgery and many other important tasks.
In addition to the monetary donation to the campaign, the volunteers collectively gave over 20,000 hours of their time in 2014, with a dollar value of $145,000.
